What I did: after entering text in the search bar to search within a collection, I wanted to ‘clear’ the search text using the (x) button the right part of the search bar
What happened: nothing (text did not clear), and eventually Findings2 crashed
What I expected: for the text to clear
Things that might be helpful to know (Findings version, OS and model, etc): build 5165.02c50412
It is indeed a known issue, though the crash is unexpected. Is it related, you think? Did Findings prompt you with the crash report upon restart? I did not see it in the feedback emails.
In that case, could you please send the crash reports? (in private email at feedback@findingsapp.com)
Here is how to access those reports:
-
First, open your Library folder, you need to use the Go menu in the Finder and press the option key. This will add a ‘Library’ item to the list, and will give you access to the hidden folder.
-
Inside the ‘Library’ folder, open the ‘Logs’ folder
-
Inside the ‘Logs’ folder, open the ‘DiagnosticReports’ folder
-
Look a the files in that last folder; they are all crash reports named with the date of the crash and the application name; there should be at least one crash report with the name ‘Findings’ in it
-
Add the Findings crash reports you find to your email
